-Juneau-
Our time in Juneau started off a little rocky! We were supposed to meet our tour
at the pier at 7:50...something happened with the alarm and it didn't go off.
Luckily I woke up at 7:37....OY!
We had time to brush our teeth and get dressed and RUN to meet our tour guide
just in time. Whew.
We started our 'Best of Juneau' tour with whale watching. We were both surprise
at the excitement that came with it. We saw at least a six whales in a very
short amount of time, including a mom and calf which is very rare. We also saw
plenty of sea lions and bald eagles.
We then took a bus to Mendhall Glacier and had lunch at a salmon bake. The
salmon bake was a lot of fun. Local music, waterfalls, fire pit for marshmallow
roasting.
