-Reykjavik, Iceland-

When we first arrived I was scared we were in the wrong place. Looked a lot like Mountain Home.

We drove directly to Thingeviller. The only place in the world were you can easily see the tectonic plates move apart from each other.

Lucky for us it stays light late into the morning, this was about 8pm

You can stand on the American tectonic plate and look over at the European tectonic plate.

This is the only place in the world where it is easy to see it above sea level.

It was AH-MAZING.

I couldnt stop thinking about an earthquake!

Rocks very obviously formed by lava at some point..

Reflecing in Iceland ;)

We saw a lot of Icelandic sheep on our road trip through Iceland...sooo cute!

Bah-bah blacksheep!

Second stop for the evening, after driving an hour on dirt roads hoping we were headed in the right direction! Gulfoss falls

Ohmygoodness was this amazing. Brought tears to my eyes!

The sun was setting a bit, it was around 10 at this point..

You could get soooo close to the edge, it was insane. And amazing.

My husband being an ass and standing on the very, very edge.

Pictures do not capture the size at all!

Facing down the falls

Facing up the falls

Lotta spray!

Spray and path

Some more sheep!

Crazy clouds hugging the mountains

The smallest hotel room ever. Our cruiseship room is bigger!

Day two - viking ship sculpture along the shore..

House with a grass roof?

Leif Erickson statue given to Iceland by the US

The Hallgrímskirkja church is one of the most popular attractions...of course, it was under construction...

Very cool organ inside...looks like mufflers :)

Another Stella cafe for Stella Bella!

We decided to try and find a geothermal area before we headed to the airport...

We found it! Steaming mountains are always a good indication there is some sort of geothermal actitivty ;)

Oh wow was it stinky. Wow. Wow. Yuck.

Very cool though...boiling water coming out of cracks in the earth!

Icelandic Horses....sooo beautiful! They are the only horse breed allowed on the island, the breed was brought to Iceland by the vikings.

Looks like a scene from Toys :)

The Blue Lagoon...we had plans to swim...but it was $30 per person and we only had three hours before our flight.

The Blue Lagoon is a geothermal spa. The lagoon is fed by the water output of a nearby geothermal power plant.

Flying over Greenland again...friggin amazing! I stared out the window for hours! ICE and snow as far as the eyes could see!

View from our hotel landing

Stiiiiiinky!
