Mykonos, Greece

Mykonos was my most anticipated port on the trip mainly because of the beautiful photographs you see of Greece's islands. I have to admit I was a little disappointed when we pulled up to the desert. I guess I had always imagined those white wash buildings surrounded by trees and greenery. We docked the ship a little away from Mykonos and the port was not scenic in the least bit! Luckily once we arrived to the actual city of Mykonos it was much more scenic. This was the first port where we didn't have a formal tour (there isn't really much history) and it was nice to just walk around and enjoy the view. We planned on going to the beach but it ended up being an expensive taxi ride so we skipped it and just wandered the streets and had lunch. Lunch was the best dang Greek Salad you could imagine, fresh (like garden fresh) tomatoes and cucumbers....heavenly.  Vinny had lobster spaghetti. We also some some HUGE pelicans on the shore which you will see below. Not much to say about Mykonos other than it was beautiful and I hear the night life is great.
